Our Taekwondo School in Winston Salem, NC is a professional full time martial arts program.  You will learn traditional Taekwondo, aka Korean Karate from highly skilled, unique professionals with many years of experience.

OWNERS AND INSTRUCTORS

Mr. and Mrs. Catha are the chief instructors and owners of the school here in Winston Salem NC. They are both nationally certified instructors with each having over 20 years of experience in the martial arts field.

Mr. Catha is the Program Director. He is an 5th Degree Black Belt and a Senior Level Instructor. Mrs. Catha is the Chief Instructor. She is a 3rd Degree Decided Black Belt and a Senior Level Instructor. Mrs. Catha often gangs up with students and parents together to make evil plans to drive Mr. Catha nuts... ;-)


MR. DREW CATHA, 5TH DEGREE BLACK BELT

PROGRAM DIRECTOR/SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

Taekwondo training began for Mr. Catha  in 1984 under Master Rick Hoadley from Mobile, Alabama earning his 1st degree Black Belt.

Continued  training in Jacksonville Florida in 1994 under Bobby Chavers earning his 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and earning his Certification.

Relocated to North Carolina developing more experience and training achieving his 4th degree black belt from 8th degree Master Warren and Elizabeth Davis from Greensboro N.C.

MRS. LAUREN CATHA, 3RD DEGREE BLACK BELT

PROGRAM DIRECTOR/CHIEF INSTRUCTOR

Taekwondo training began for Mrs. Catha in 1993 under 8th degree Masters Warren and Elizabeth Davis from Greensboro, N.C. earning her 1st  2nd and 3rd degree black belts. 

Tested for 3rd Degree Decided under Master Chris Penn from Greensboro, N.C.

She is a Nationally Certified Instructor with over 20 years of experience.

 

 

TAEKWONDO AMERICA ORGANIZATION

Taekwondo America (TA) is a national martial arts organization with schools across the United States.

All TA schools adhere to the same guidelines and procedures ensuring the high standards by which we teach, promote students in rank, and project our image and reputation within the community.

The TA National Board of Examiners has developed and certified a comprehensive training and fitness program for our students to follow. This enables children and adults to progress at their own pace and ensures that we are able to meet the needs of all students.

Over the years, TA has established a reputation built upon our standard of excellence. Accordingly, we do not allow any negative, aggressive behavior, or any misuse of Taekwondo in any manner.

Taekwondo America schools compete exclusively in tournaments sponsored by the national organization. TA sponsors several regional and national tournaments throughout the year and invites all enrolled students to participate in these events.

The national organization is managed by a Board of Directors and each region has one high-ranking school owner as the point of contact.

Taekwondo America was formed in 1993. Since its formation, the organization has attracted some of the finest Taekwondo instructors in the United States. Taekwondo America practice the traditional style of Taekwondo, "Chung Hun" which means "Blue Cottage".
